2nd day of Raya 2009, not as quiet as I thought….

A few weeks back, I’d looked at my planner and noticed that 21 Sept 2009 (from a Date Selection standpoint) was not a day to be wasted, particularly from a personal perspective. It’s a good day in general and looked like a pretty happening day for myself. A few days later I noticed: 21 Sept is the 2nd day of Hari Raya, a very public of public holidays– what a bummer.

But you know what they say: don’t let what you can’t do stop you from what you CAN do. So I planned the day for a few things namely, i) starting this blog ii) doing some marketing work for my new tap class starting next Mon, Sept 28, iii) whatever else that was to come

Last night while checking out Kakiseni, I came upon a casting notice for a Dettol TVC that was to cast until tmrw, Sept 22. Hmmm, how odd considering it’s like only 2nd day Raya; i guess it’s part of a pile-up of outstanding stuff from Ramadhan. This of course, fit into Category iii) above, so I called this morning and went in for the casting. A pretty standard (and quick) affair…let’s see if i’ve better luck with this. I haven’t gotten a TVC since doing a smallish role for a Pizza Hut Singapore TVC eaaaaaarly this year. But I’m grateful for the numerous casting opportunities that’ve cropped up esp. this month (aiyo, but rusty already la!).

As I’m doing all this, I noticed a few people I know also posting from & about work. Aiyo, my workaholic friends )
